The Argosy Musical Theatre Company is a well established amateur theatre society. It may also be described as a group of people from varied age groups and backgrounds who meet regularly to sing, dance and act together for mutual pleasure and to give entertainment to our audiences in Birmingham and the surrounding area. Argosy have been a leading amateur company for over forty years and have enjoyed great success in performing both traditional musicals and the more modern.
We meet once a week at the Welsh Congregational Church in Birmingham at 7:30pm, with main principals also rehearsing on a Wednesday. Our main theatre production is in May or June, with concerts in either October or November.
The only requiste for joining is that you can sing or dance a little, and would like to have an enjoyable time on stage. We have many new, young members who have swelled the ranks of our fantastic company.
